Responsibilities
Conduct client assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
Ensure treatment goals and sessions are aligned and well-documented.
Lead individual and/or group therapy sessions using thoughtful, culturally informed techniques.
Write clear, timely progress notes that reflect client goals and treatment outcomes.
Encourage and reinforce clients’ progress through strengths-based approaches.
Work closely with other mental health professionals and community providers.
Maintain a reliable schedule and uphold agency policies.
Assess and Plan: Perform client evaluations, document findings, and create personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Collaborate: Work with different agencies to ensure the patient’s treatment goals and objectives are met. This includes healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address patient concerns.
Monitor Progress: Write and maintain clear and concise progress notes, reflecting ongoing treatment efforts and client development.
Support Clients: Reinforce positive behavior and encourage clients in their mental health journey through effective therapy techniques. Be mindful that some patients may have disabilities, ensure their needs are met in a respectful and inclusive manner.
Flexible Schedule: Maintain a dependable, yet flexible schedule that fits into your life while making a real difference for others.
Facilitate: Provide direct support to patients through individual and group therapy sessions.
Implementation: Assist in implementing therapeutic activities that promote emotional and psychological healing.
Telehealth: telehealth sessions as needed, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
Engage in grief counseling and motivational interviewing techniques to assist patients in coping with loss and challenges.
Address gender issues counseling as part of comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
Masters level education in mental health, psychology, or a related field is required.
Demonstrate professional and ethical attitudes toward corporation
Possess emotional maturity
Respond effectively to crisis situations;
Relate to severely disturbed and/or difficult persons in order to determine appropriate mental health services, monitoring and housing
Gather and analyze pertinent data
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff of interdisciplinary teams and community providers
Assess and diagnose mental disorders and determine need for psychiatric services
Maintain detailed records and prepare clear, concise written documentation
